Last year, U.S. Senator Patty Murray and Gov. Jay Inslee committed to providing a comprehensive action plan for the Columbia/Snake River salmon by July of this year. Critical to that decision, they are developing a draft report by mid-May that identifies how to replace the services of the four lower Snake River dams to save salmon and honor tribal treaty rights. By July 31, 2022 they will decide if the lower Snake River dams will be removed as part of their comprehensive plan.
Time is running out. Snake River salmon and steelhead are being driven to extinction. Northwest tribes and Native people whose ceremony, culture, and economies are built around salmon have called on Congress to pass a solution that restores salmon by removing the lower Snake River dams. Restoring the Snake River and its salmon is essential for upholding our promises to the Northwest tribes.
Now is the time to showcase public support for Snake River salmon, honoring tribal treaty rights, and solutions that support all the communities.

What: Stop Salmon Extinction Rally with music, speakers, give-away, and snacks and opportunity for short video testimonials.
