When more people participate in democracy, we have more hope for a healthier environment and communities. Civic participation is critical for advancing environmental protection, the health of our communities, a thriving economy, and education for all.
Together we can ensure Washington remains the Evergreen State by protecting state forest land, sustainably managing our private forest land, bringing new incentives and partners to the table, strengthening forestry issues in local communities, and holding our elected officials accountable.
The Pacific Northwest is the bullseye of the fossil fuel industry’s push to access Pacific markets. As a community and through our coalitions, our campaigns must remain strong to oppose the shifting efforts of the fossil fuel industry and protect our health, safety, and climate.
Puget Sound and the larger Salish Sea are rich with ecological diversity and are the lifeblood for urban and rural communities that rely on the Sound for economic opportunity and a high quality of life. However, Puget Sound’s health has deteriorated, and we are working toward a recovery that leaves a legacy for future generations.
Environmental Priorities Coalition
The Environmental Priorities Coalition is made up of more than 20 statewide organizations working to safeguard our environment and the health of our communities in the legislature. Every year, the Coalition comes together to select priorities to advance during the legislative session.
