Carbon Friendly Forestry Conference
We continue to experience the frightening reality of the climate crisis: wildfire, smoke, hurricanes, historic flood events, drought, and the effects of environmental racism. The urgency of this moment requires us to imagine new ways forward. The Pacific Northwest’s forests, if managed with this reality in mind, can be powerful tools for carbon storage, ecosystem services, community resilience, and environmental justice. At Washington Conservation Action, we continue to explore and support innovative and traditional approaches to ecological forestry, learning from the lived experiences of all of Washington’s communities.
