Ava (she/her) serves as the Climate Smart Wood Senior Manager for WCA. Prior to joining WCA, Ava worked with the Kulshan Carbon Trust to increase community access to biochar, agroforestry, and other natural climate solutions in NW Washington. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Western Washington University, and a B.S. in Biology and Terrestrial Resource Management from the University of Washington. In her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes, trail running, and exploring the mountains near her home in Bellingham, WA.
