The Energy Council responsible for giving Governor Inslee a recommendation on how to proceed on the Tesoro Oil Terminal unanimously voted to disapprove the project. Then, a few weeks later, Governor Inslee rejected the proposal for good!  He made a landmark decision when he rejected the largest proposed oil train terminal in the United States. This is a major victory for our climate and communities. Governor Inslee determined that the project poses unacceptable risks to the health, safety, and sustainability of communities throughout Washington.

Year after year, you have submitted public comments, showed up, and gave testimony that this project was simply too risky. You have demonstrated that this terminal was not in the best interest of the Pacific Northwest, our communities, and our climate. Thank you for being part of this big win!

Sarah and Laura from Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility agree: Fossil Fuels make us sick!

Our community turned out in force – in the rain and wind – to show Gov. Inslee that Washington stands for a clean energy economy and against dangerous crude oil terminals.
