Regional Proposition 1:

ST3 is the centerpiece of future connectivity and economic development for the Puget Sound region. The bold transit package will connect 16 cities with light rail, 30 cities with bus rapid transit/ST Express Bus and 12 cities with commuter rail across Pierce, King and Snohomish counties.

The plan will connect people to popular destinations in Tacoma, Federal Way and Issaquah and key employment centers in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Renton and Everett.

When fully built out, Sound Transit 3 usage will lead to an annual reduction of approximately 667,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, the equivalent of taking nearly 142 THOUSAND cars off the road!

Spokane Transit Authority Proposition 1:

Proposition 1 would fund more than 25 projects to support public transit in our region, expanding service in addition to investing in improving and maintaining the current system. In the next 25 years, the region’s population is expected to increase by 165,000 and the demand and need for public transportation will grow concurrently. The bus service in Spokane County hasn’t expanded significantly since 1981. Transit is a key piece of reducing climate pollution in the Spokane area – in 2015 alone workers took more than 3.5 million trips with Spokane Transit Authority, reducing carbon emissions and traffic.
